The Year of 2011

All in words  just kidding, that would be punishment in most countries.
This is going to be picture OVERLOAD. A few pictures from my year, some
of my favorites, some of my not-so favorites. You may even see some
pretty scary things, you haven't before, or things you already have. Either way,
Enjoy!

One pretty great package deal

Two of my best girl friends from high school were away the last four months on a study abroad.
Naomi (pictured first) went to Vienna, Austria. Kelly (pictured second) went to Paris, France.
Kelly came home two weeks ago and Naomi got home last night.
Finally we are all together again and I couldn't be happier!

Yes! I sure can!

As of late I have been getting a lot of ideas and doing crafts. Since I have joined the famous website Pinterest, I have been getting my creative juices flowing. I honestly didn't know if I could do half of the things I pinned but the more I do, the more I feel confident.

When we first got married I was freaking out within the first week, that I would never be able to cook. But, now I mostly enjoy it and feel like the recipes I attempt I can usually succeed 95% of the time. Last night I made cake balls. It never looked easy but I tried and it was a piece of cake! (wink wink) I got a crispy cheddar chicken recipe off of Pinterest . . . tried it, its my new favorite recipe.
Seeing as how I adore Christmas, I was so excited to try new ideas. Well, the whole time I kept looking for ideas for a permanent Advent Calendar. I couldn't find one that I loved. Well on the very last day of November my sister Kylie called and said "Go get these supplies from Roberts were making an Advent Calendar!" I was stoked. We borrowed my sisters Cri-cut and we were up till 3 am cutting out cute little shapes. (Okay, so a little overboard!)  On each day it has activities to do on that day. So each year it's the same but you can mix it up! Such as: make hot chocolate, go see the lights, build a snowman etc.
(this is my sisters off her blog, mine looks basically the same)
I had my mind set on making a Christmas wreath this season! Than I found this freaking cute idea that filled as a wreath. I was in pure heaven! I went and bought a frame at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. Than spray painted it. I had extra ornaments from my tree so I tied string to it and tied a cute red ribbon and viola. An easy beautiful Christmas "Wreath". I have fallen in love all over again.

Also, being in the Christmas spirit I saw this idea on Pinterest and instantly knew I wanted to make it for my 12 Bunco girls. At first, I was super excited and it was fun, than I realized I had to make 11 more. Whoops. Well, they turned out cute and I made one for every girls favorite drink. But mine fell apart after 3 days. NOT worth it. But, in the end it was the thought... or something right?
Now I seriously feel like I can try things and feel confident that it will work out! I learn to appreciate it a lot more! I also feel pretty awesome! The end

I'm blank because . . .

I have been having a blogging/life slump. I'm trying to get out of it. So here is my first attempt. I got it off a friend's blog that I follow and I just really liked the idea.

I'm weird because . . .
I sleep with a blanket from when I was a bebe
I feel worthless when I'm not reading a book
I put lots and lots of salt on everything
I hate the smell, look, and taste of eggs
I kinda struggle with homemade sandwiches
I hate sharing food
I have to sleep with my foot out of the bed
I eat one green apple daily
Once I get an idea in my head, it HAS to happen
I think Tom's (the shoes) are hideous
I'm very outgoing, but when I have to stand in front of the crowd I get serious anxiety

I'm a bad friend because . . .
I don't keep in contact
I shut out the world which would include them
I forget the day of their birth
I tend to gang up on one with another

I'm a good friend because . . .
I am very supportive no matter what
I can always have a good time
I expect the best out of them
I'm always wanting to be wanted

I'm sad because . . .

I don't have a plan for my futureI have never this scroog"ess" before
There are things my hubbie wants that I can't give
I'm sleep deprived
I can't please everyone
it hasn't snowed

I'm happy because . . .
tis the season to be jolly
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
I'm married to my best friend
I'm alive and healthy
Finals are over
I got a really good deal on Bath and Body Works!!

I'm excited for . . .
Christmas Day
actual snow to fall
the weekend
a break from school and time to breath
our 1st year anniversary
things to come in the new year

Thanks for listening! Now you do it! It's fun!!

It's the Most Wonderful Time... EVER!

Wanna guess what my favorite Holiday is? I will give you a hint . . . it starts with a C and ends in a hristmas! Okay, I will tell you Christmas! Seriously, its epic. I told my husband that if Jehovah's Witness' came to my door I would have to tell them I couldn't convert cause I'm addicted to Christmas.

I am one of those awesome people who listen to music the November 1. I enjoy the snow fall and all things winter. So this year since I have my own home to decorate I took it upon myself to do just that also on November 1. I dragged Jake into Costco and we bought Our first Christmas Tree! Pre-lit and everything. I was in pure Heaven.

It has been so fun decorating the house! I may have spent a little more than I intended but, it will last me years to come! One of the pictures I am so happy about is my Christmas "Wreath" that hangs on my door. I got the idea off of Pinterest and I LOVED IT! I am so happy with the way it turned out! It inspired me to do a lot more crafts. We'll see! Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Turkey at The Frahm's

This year, my delightful husband thought it would be fun to volunteer my house, my services, and me to this years Thanksgiving Festivities. Awesome.

So this year I hosted my first Thanksgiving at my house! I also was in charge of the Turkey (uhm, wha??) Creme Corn, Stuffing, and a Banana Creme Pie. I was terrified. I had never cooked a Turkey before. Also, when I brought up the Creme Corn idea . . . not everyone was stoked. No pressure or anything. But to my dismay, Thanksgiving was a HIT!

I cooked two butter ball Turkey's in the crock pot. They came out tender, juicy, flavorful, and amazing (if I do say so myself)! We had PLENTY to go around that Jake and I will officially be having Turkey dinner for a month! Than to add on to that everyone kept asking for seconds on the creamed corn! I was ecstatic. Okay, okay I sound a little cocky right? But seriously I am a pessimist and plan to fail. So to me this was the perfect Thanksgiving. I was so proud of myself. And my father-in law is still talking about that creamed corn! :)

I was having 9 people come over in my town home to eat. I decided I wanted it to be special so I set up a long buffet table and brought out my nice "china" and even made little name tags! It turned out to be the the best Thanksgiving ever!

I ended the lovely night with Black Friday Shopping. I went with my sisters Kylie, and Jamie. It was a riot! We started the night at 8:30 pm at Walmart in Cedar Hills. Than went to Target in AF, than University Mall, than Target in Orem, than back to Target in AF, than to Kohl's in AF, than back to Walmart in Lindon. Needless to say there was A LOT of driving. We had so much fun though, but who wouldn't at 3 in the morning with two of their best friends. We ended our crazy ride at 6:30 am. That makes 10 hrs of shopping! I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

Gobble Gobble

It's that time of year when you whip out the ol' bird and taters and have a feast! It also is that time to remind you of what your thankful for. Since I tend to complain more than be grateful I need this holiday once a year to remind me all the blessings I have!

First and foremost I am definitely grateful for my husband Jakey boy! We have been married almost a year and I couldn't be happier! Really! Sure we have had our Up's, and our down's. Any maybe sometimes are downs are really LOW, but I am so grateful for this man. He really truly makes me happy. He is always willing to make me happy and put me first. He is always the first to come say sorry, and hates fighting. He is trying really hard to make my life, everything I have dreamed of and he sure has. He is truly my best friend and I don't know what life was like before him! I Love Him.
(what a hottie)
I am thankful for my family. I have 2 great parents. 3 sisters. And a little brother. What more could a girl ask for? It might help that my parents are amazing and have helped me get to where I am today. They have pushed me to reach my dreams and are still helping me today! They do so much for me and I could probably never repay them! I am so thankful to have 3 sisters who all live here in Utah County and who all happen to be my best friends. I love these gals! They are there for me no matter what. I don't understand people who aren't best friends with their sisters. Mine are incredible! My little brother is such an amazing kid. Even though he is younger than me he is one of my biggest examples. He has such a sweet personality and testimony. I hope to be like C.J. when I grow up ;)
I am also grateful for my other family. My in-laws the Frahm's. I married into a great little family. I know without a doubt this was the family I was supposed to come to. My in-laws Dave and Wendy, have treated me like a member of the family since I got there. They treat me like gold and are always going out of there way to do whats best for me and Jake. Rebecca and Mike have been so wonderful to have as a sister and brother. All because of this family, I have a wonderful guy!
I am grateful for my home.
I am grateful for my car.
I am grateful for my health.
I am grateful for each day I am alive.
I am grateful for my job.
I am grateful for food.
I am grateful for clothes.
I am grateful for the income we make.
I am grateful for my dog, Bubba! :)
I am grateful for books.
I am grateful for my best friends LC, Naomi, Lisa, Kelly
I am grateful for love.
I am grateful for internet (so I can tell you good folk about my life)
I am grateful for school (even though some days it makes me cry)
I am grateful for my talents.
I am grateful for my personality.

I am grateful for lots and the list can go on and on. But in the end I owe it all to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. As the Christmas Season is approaching, I remember his birth and also what he did for me as an individual. Because of him I am able to be sealed to my family and husband for all eternity. Because of him I can humble myself and realize I'm not perfect but I can keep trying and one day become perfect. Because of him I am able to see Grandma Virginia, Grandpa Leslie, and Baby Carson. I am grateful for this gospel. I know this is the one and true church and I am grateful to have a testimony of it. I love this life.
Happy Thanksgiving!
