Yellowstone Family Reunion

My mom's dream was to take our entire family on a "Schroeppel Family Reunion". So last year we talked about Yellowstone, but never really anything official. Then when the summer started my mom said she was looking at places to stay and couldn't find anything she loved. But she happened to talk to a friend Lori whose parents had a cabin RIGHT by Yellowstone. She booked it and it was official.

We we're so excited. I had never been and I was just excited to spend the weekend with my whole family. Thursday after Jake got off work we took the long trek to Montana for West Yellowstone. What would normally be a 5 hr drive took us 7. Between nursing the babe and potty breaks for the three year old it was a little bit longer. We got to the Cabin at 11 and went to bed pretty soon after.

Next day was Friday. We we're originally supposed to go to Yellowstone all day but we were all so tired we decided to stay at the cabin. And later went to a Wolf and Bear exhibit. We ended the night at the cabin with a gorgeous rainstorm, games, and eating junk food.

Highlights of Day 1:
the kids going on a "bear hunt"
Eating my sketchy Chicken Salad
Sitting on the porch watching a summer storm
Playing an inappropriate game of Scattegories
Seeing Amish people everywhere
The Pizza place we ate at

Low Parts of Day 1:
Having an EXTREMELY tired 3 year old
CJ spraining his ankle
paying way too much for the Wolf and Bear exhibit

The next day was all about Yellowstone. It was unbelievably gorgeous. It was so much fun and we definitely saw our fair share of the park. Prepare for a bajillion pictures.

Highlights:
Getting drenched by the Beehive Geyser
The guy helping/kidnapping Mia
Beautiful Hiking
My children slept every time we were in the car
Taking Selfies with Buffalo

Low parts:
Not so fabulous expensive lunch
Sitting in something brown/not having a change of clothes
Realizing how out of shape i'm in
Not getting ice cream at the parlor

The last day was spent eating, cleaning, and driving. But it still was a lot of fun. Such and incredible trip. Short and sweet but one of the funnest family ones I have been on. Mom says next year Hawaii...we'll see!

Highlights:
Pancake breakfast
Much quicker drive home
Being able to read a book for longer then 5 seconds

Low Parts:
Awkward family pictures
trip ending
cleaning haha

Boston's Blessing Day

Yesterday on August 2, 2015 we blessed Boston in our church. It was such a perfect day. Jake blessed him so beautifully. It was such a perfect blessing. Jake blessed him, my dad, his dad, my grandpa Jack, Mark Clemen, Devin, Luke, Brandon, and my brother CJ all stood in the circle with him.

The weather was really hot, but great! We fed everyone Cafe Rio Sweet Pork Salads, and Burritos. We had a bunch of yummy desserts; peanut butter bars, Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes, Sweet tooth fairy cupcakes, and Sweet tooth fairy cookies.

The day was absolutely perfect and could not have gone better! We love our little Boston and are grateful for the sweet spirit he brings to our home. He is such a blessing to us and we can't imagine life without him.

Boston 2 Months

2 Months
10 lbs 2 oz 23 inches

LOVES: Going on walks in his Boba Wrap, loves nursing prefers it over a bottle, being held and snuggled (that will fade soon)

HATES: Being left alone too long, his carseat off and on

FAVORITES: My family (especially my momma), morning time

MILESTONES: He is getting better at eye contact & lots of smiles, starting to "coo" and "gurgh", starting to get stronger legs

CLOTHES: 0-3/3 Months he is only 9 percentile for weight so he is just a little guy

DIAPERS: Size 1

MOMMY LOVES: His smile is the cutest thing I know I am biased but he is just so sweet. Still love nursing (for the most part) I love that, that is mine and his time together and no one can change that. I love seeing so much of me in him i.e. his hands, feet, and nose. I love how good of a baby he is.

ALIASES: Bos, Little brother, Bos Man, BLT, Boston Baked Beans, Little B, Bostonian, Biggity Boston

RANDOM: We started using his swing a lot more recently, he likes it for a good amount of time, then he gets mad and wants to be held. His spitting is a little bit better but it mostly depends on the day. He is still underweight. The Dr said he is just above them being concerned about his weight, so we will just keep putting along. He is 56% for length and has a big noggin which is 92%. He smiles for anyone and everyone.
he got shots at his check up and he did this unless
he was being held poor guy!
