Turkey at The Frahm's

This year, my delightful husband thought it would be fun to volunteer my house, my services, and me to this years Thanksgiving Festivities. Awesome.

So this year I hosted my first Thanksgiving at my house! I also was in charge of the Turkey (uhm, wha??) Creme Corn, Stuffing, and a Banana Creme Pie. I was terrified. I had never cooked a Turkey before. Also, when I brought up the Creme Corn idea . . . not everyone was stoked. No pressure or anything. But to my dismay, Thanksgiving was a HIT!

I cooked two butter ball Turkey's in the crock pot. They came out tender, juicy, flavorful, and amazing (if I do say so myself)! We had PLENTY to go around that Jake and I will officially be having Turkey dinner for a month! Than to add on to that everyone kept asking for seconds on the creamed corn! I was ecstatic. Okay, okay I sound a little cocky right? But seriously I am a pessimist and plan to fail. So to me this was the perfect Thanksgiving. I was so proud of myself. And my father-in law is still talking about that creamed corn! :)

I was having 9 people come over in my town home to eat. I decided I wanted it to be special so I set up a long buffet table and brought out my nice "china" and even made little name tags! It turned out to be the the best Thanksgiving ever!

I ended the lovely night with Black Friday Shopping. I went with my sisters Kylie, and Jamie. It was a riot! We started the night at 8:30 pm at Walmart in Cedar Hills. Than went to Target in AF, than University Mall, than Target in Orem, than back to Target in AF, than to Kohl's in AF, than back to Walmart in Lindon. Needless to say there was A LOT of driving. We had so much fun though, but who wouldn't at 3 in the morning with two of their best friends. We ended our crazy ride at 6:30 am. That makes 10 hrs of shopping! I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

  2. I didn't realize you were in charge of so much! I never have made a turkey, I was nervous when I read that part but was proud when I read that all was a success! Your amazing Jen! Your house is WAY CUTE! I love all your Christmas decorations and am jealous of the cuteness! LOVE YOU!
