Familia Pictures!

After this post I will officially be caught up! Holla!! When we got Ashton and life calmed down I wanted/needed to get family pictures done. To me family pics were like a deal sealer that we were a real family!

I chose the colors: Lime Green, Turquoise, and Navy with white accents. I was super nervous about them. But when I saw our outfits together I felt good about them, then I looked at the pictures and was SO happy! We went to a beautiful field and farm place up a little past the Timpanogos Temple and they were gorg. I will post some of my fav's. But I am not kidding when I say I love every single one so its hard to choose but these are probably going to be the ones I hang up in my house! Enjoy! (oh and PS I'm only showing you the colored version, just cause its easier that way)

Them Memorial Day

I was always that parentless person who said "I will never let my blog get behind when I have kids. I don't know what the big deal is? Can't you find time for that?" kind of person. Until Ashton. Than I realized time is so so so SO precious. Even IF I did have time to write on my blog I am using that time with things that are more pressing. My whole point to this intro is I have been blogging every other day just to play catch up with LIFE!

Flash back to Memorial Day! Whoot Whoot! I love all holidays. I literally WANT to be that crazy mom and wife who overly celebrates every holiday. Even the dorky ones! Challenge accepted. This memorial day we went to a BBQ at my in-laws. We did one last year and it was fabulous, so now I think my F-I-L wants to make a tradition of it! I was in charge of the dessert, which I love baking so you think I would be excited. But I get really intimidated by dessert at parties. Cause dessert is a big deal!! Anyways I was flipping through my cookbook and found a recipe for S'mores cupcakes. A) I adore anything with s'more in the title B) Perfect for a BBQ C) perfect for the start of summer. I could not go wrong, and guess what? I DIDN'T!! They were orgasmic! I will be adding them to my official awesome recipes.

The BBQ was also fabulous. It was our first with Ashton and he looked so stinkin cute! As always. We ate and ate and ate. Than went to my sisters house and ate some more, naturally!

Overall fantastic day!

We live in a Zoo!

So I have a bucket list, as everyone does/should! And there are many things on my bucket list that I failed to complete as a child so now as a 21 year old female I still feel the need to accomplish. Such as fly a kite. Finally did that my Senior Year of HIGH SCHOOL!! And build a sand castle. I know I know. and Ride a horse. Really the list could go on. But the one thing I hadn't done that is the saddest of them all is... are your prepared... GO TO THE ZOO!! Holy shiz balls it's pathetic. So every time someone I knew would go or invite me I couldn't go. That was until little Ash Man came into my life. (I'm telling you everyone should have kids just so they can do kid like stuff and it doesn't look awkward.)
So the last day of May, my sister Jamie was planning on taking her kids to the Zoo, when she asked who wanted to join, I was almost in tears. I could go! I could actually go. Not only could I go, but I got to take my awesome human being child with me. And we would both experience it for the first time! We were ecstatic!
This was the morning we were going, get the excitement?
So, we drove up there and got there pretty early to beat the crowds. And it began. My love for the Zoo. We first stopped and looked at the monkeys. And Ashton kept pointing at them. I got to see one of them Pee, which sounds weird but it was interesting.

Next stop: Elephants. There was a mama, daddy, and baby elephant and I loved them all. They were one of my favorites. Just cause they were so beautiful! Ashton couldn't really see them, but I'm sure he loved hearing me talk about them.

It started to rain so we took cover in the Rhino den. The rhino's were cool to look at and see how big they were, but nothing to write home about. I did take pictures to make them feel included however. Next we went into another little indoor place that had different type of animals that looked like monkeys. And two of the areas the mom just had babies and they were so little! I think this part was Ashton's fav cause a little animal came right up to his eye level and he kept pointing at it and talking to it. SO CUTE!

Than we saw some eagles. Than we went and watched the Sea Lion's for a bit. Along the way they had this thing going on where they have different types of Animals built out of LEGO's! It was so cool. Then we went into my other favorite exhibit, the Polar Bears. There was one Polar Bear that was so funny! She kept going in one room touching the wall with her nose got outside around a rock and come back into the room and touch the wall with her nose over and over again. I found it hilarious!

We saw some grizzly bears and then we headed up to see the Giraffe's they were what I had anticipated the WHOLE time (normally it would be Zebra's but they didn't have them *sniffle*) . We got up to them and I never realized how tall they are. And so pretty. Ashton loved them too! He kept yelling at them. Which in Ashton language that's a good sign!

Our last stop was the reptile part. I wasn't so sure about this considering, I hate spiders, snakes, and basically anything that crawls. But it was still cool. Freaky as hell, but cool.

I'm so glad I went, and with Ashton! It was amaze balls and I would go again in a heart beat! Thanks Jamie for inviting me!

Colin Jackson Schroeppel

This post is all about my brother CJ. The past few weeks have been filled with events for him and getting ready for his mission. It's been a crazy whirlwind! But gosh I love that kid, so it's worth it!

Let's start with pictures from his baseball season. This year was just as fun and thrilling as last year. Less tears were shed on my part however. We went into tournament and were doing awesome. The boys were playing their guts out. Than we had one game were the magic was just not there and it didn't flow, and guess what? We lost. So we went into losers bracket. The next two games were insane. Filled with screaming and cheering. The boys had come together and made a completely different team. They won the first 2 but lost the 3rd ending their baseball season. But they played with so much heart and effort. CJ seriously is incredible. He is such a team leader and fighter. I know that kid will amount to such amazing things and I can't wait to see it!

A week after the baseball games CJ graduated. We went to UVU to watch him walk and he was the last of our Schroeppel clan to graduate. After we went to dinner at La Carreta for some Peruvian cuisine.

Than last but certainly not least, CJ is going to be serving the Dallas, Texas Spanish Speaking mission. And he leaves on the 26th of this month! (I'm freaking out slightly!) So two days after his graduation he went through the temple for the first time. It was such a neat experience because my entire family was able to go in the temple. CJ is such a spiritual giant and did awesome. I cannot wait for the people of Texas to see what he has to offer.

This picture ^^ explains mine and Cj's creepy awkward relationship. CJ and I fought all growing up but also were each others buddies. Now that I am married I have learned to love CJ more. He is such an incredible kid and I really look up to him. He is my idol. I remember praying for him throughout my school years that he would be the best person and he really is! I love him!
