Ice Cream, Burns, and Park City

This week has been loads of fun! It's been really good for me to take pictures everyday, it's helped me in a journalistic type way, but than also helps me realize how fun my Summer has really been!

Monday June 18th: Refer to the post below. It was mostly filled with cleaning, decorating, and cooking for Lisa's shower. So much fun and so darling.

Tuesday June 19th:

As I promised, I took pictures at work of the things I have done/will do. It just so happens that at the beginning of summer, the cafeteria in our hospital purchased an ice cream machine. Oh sweet heavenly land! Soft serve ice cream is my FAVORITE! It also has so much history with Jake and mine's relationship. Anyways, it probably is a real biotch that my work bought it cause on this day I bought two soft serves at different times of the day. So this picture is to prove at what a fatty I am :)

Wednesday June 20th:
Another day of work. Unfortunately this day at work was less exciting and with much less ice cream. I was exhausted from the 12 hr shift I had worked the day before and at the end of this 12 hr shift I was done!! The first thing I did when I came home was sit on the couch and turn on Modern Family. It wasn't long that my sweet little Bubba Gump came up and nuzzled right into me. So Wednesday night consisted of cuddles and movies.

Thursday June 21st:

Thursday in the morning I went to pick up my nephew Cooper, my sister Amy and the rest of her family was going down to Lake Powell and she couldn't take her little guy cause of the heat. So Jake and I took him all Thursday and half of Friday. It was so much fun! Cooper and me started our day off at the mall and we played at the tree with his other cousins. Than we went to payless and bought adorable shoes. Cooper passed out in my arms. Than we went home and waited for Uncle Jake. When he got home we took off to my favorite, Strawberry Days. We got dinner and 3 strawberries and cream. MMMMM. We only stayed a little while cause we had to bathe and put Cooper to sleep. It was so fun playing mom! Especially to the sweetest boy around!

Friday June 22nd:

This day I took Cooper to the pool and met up with some of my Bunco Gals. We stayed there probably 3 or 4 hrs. Very nice! Unfortunately in all my attempts to take care of Cooper I didn't put sunscreen on my back. That picture above ^^ shows the contrast between my lily white skin and burnt back! Jake was so mad I didn't put any sunscreen on, but if you look closely in the picture you can see my hand prints on my shoulders of where I did try to put sunscreen on hehe. Anyways, after the pool sesh, I dropped Cooper off at my other sister who was taking him Friday-Saturday. Than I went home and got ready to head out to PARK CITY!!! Jake got home we packed our stuff in the car, grabbed some Wendy's and took off! We met his parents up there and had some dessert. Than we ended the night with a movie.

Saturday June 23rd:

Saturday we woke up and went out to breakfast at this wonderful all you can eat place. Than we got home and jumped in our swimsuits and headed straight to the pool. It was so peaceful and hardly anyone was around. We stayed about an hour and headed back to our room to clean up and get ready. We went and explored main street than came back to eat dinner and dessert. My M-I-L had been telling me all day that she bought "moose tracks" ice cream for dessert, I was so excited cause its my favorite flavor (Im seeing a trend here) we get out the ice cream and much to my disappointment it was "bunny tracks" which is very different. hahah we were all so disappointed. So I took a picture.

Sunday June 24th:

Sunday we woke up and got ready for church. At first I wasn't stoked about going (just being honest) growing up when my family was on Vacation we rarely went to church if we were out of town on Sunday's. Jake's family is the opposite. So I knew going up there over a Sunday we would be going. Well I thought we would only be going to Sacrament, much to my dismay we were planning all 3 hrs. (Side note: The whole weekend my father in law talked about how Mitt Romney and other political people were going to be up in Park City for a fundraiser, he even went hunting for them on Saturday to meet them, but came back disappointed.) Anyways, we got to church right at 9 am. We were looking for a bench to sit on when my M-I-L said "Oh my gosh, there is Mitt Romney." I didn't believe her at first but than I saw his wife Ann, and I followed down the row and sure enough there was Mitt. We sat down 2 rows in front of him. It was insane. My father in law walked in late from parking the car when we told him the good news. After awhile I realized it must pay off to go to church while on Vacation. After Sacrament was over, everyone rushed up to shake his hand. I got to shake his and his wife hands and so did Jake. His dad chickened out and ran to the bathroom ahaha! It was so cool. I snapped that picture of him. We went back to our hotel, took a wonderful two hour nap and than woke up and watched a movie, ate dinner, went on another walk and packed up and went home! It was a very great and relaxing weekend.

You want me to throw you a Shower {now} don't you?

I love Pinterest. It gave me oodles of ideas for the Baby Shower I threw on Monday. And it was a SUCCESS! I threw it for one of my friends Lisa, and she is having a wee little lad and naming him York.

The  theme for the shower was "Ready To POP!" With it, all the food had the word POP in it and the colors were Gray and Yellow. It was so darling. These are a few pictures from the night.

These are some of the decorations I had there. Throughout her entire pregnancy I would have her send me a belly pic at first I really wanted to see, but than over time I thought it would be cute to hang at her shower. I love how it all came out, it was so fun to see!

We had a table set up with what I called "Diaper Thoughts" we drew on them images or sayings so when she would change his diaper she would have something the laugh at. Some that I thought were funny is, "Daddy's Turn", "Is that corn?!" and "Your being a dick right now". We played another game which had songs with Baby or Boy in the title and everyone had to guess the artist and song.Cute little LC won!

Treats!! Treats!! and more Treats!! We had Caramel POPcorn, POPcorn holders, Butter POPcorn, Ring POPS, Blow POPS, Bubble POPS, Snap Crackle POP (rice krispies), Otter POPS, and Soda POP. It was so fun to see it all come together.

As part of Lisa's gifts I made her a diaper wreath and some very fun and cute pacifier clips! So easy!! Thank you PINTEREST!

Overall very fun and very cute shower! Very worth it for my Loucifer!

Let's talk about Summer

I mostly enjoy this season. As most people around me know, I'm a winter girl. I love the cold. But I have mostly enjoyed this warm and sunny weather, a chance to wear my swimsuit (ick), and to get some color on my pasty white body. But I despise, sweating and heat. So I will handle it for the time being.

A few days ago, I decided I wanted to document this whole summer. Day by day. So I made the goal to take a picture each day of at least one thing I did. Some days it will be boring but I'm excited for the challenge. Now since I decided this like 3 days ago, I have missed some days already, but I have many pictures! Let's start with:

Memorial Day:
This year we spent it with Jake's family at his parents house. We did a BBQ and played "night games" like Ghosts in the Graveyard, Steal the Flag, and Freeze Tag. SO fun!

June 6th:

Went on my first bike ride, in what seemed like YEARS up Provo Canyon, with two of my sisters and their kids. It felt so good. The only downside was my little "vaheena monster" wasn't so pleased with my bike seat. So I went out the next day and bought a cushion! Can't wait to get out and ride again!

June 7th:

We went out to dinner for this gals ^^^ birthday! Her favorite place Mac Grill! We hadn't seen each other since my birthday so it lovely. It always feels like old times!

June 8th:

I got my first taste of sunshine and water when I went to lunch with my sisters than, we took the kids to the Splash Pad in the Riverwoods. There was hardly anyone there and its little enough to enjoy. I can't get enough of my sisters kids. We ended it with a trip for Froyo! Mmmm

June 9th:
My most favorite thing about Summer is Orem City's Summerfest. I have gone since I can remember, and every year I leave with such fun memories. Well this year was a complete bust, and I was SO sad. It was FREEZING. As you can see in the picture, I had a jacket on and with the hood up, and cuddle in with Jake. We probably stayed for 30 minutes. We got our traditional dish of Navajo taco's. Than we walked around the booths. Than ended it with our dessert of chocolate covered strawberry kabobs. I was also even more excited cause this year they were doing the Parade at night and by the time the parade had started we were so cold. So we ended up leaving. :( I guess this could be a memory of some sorts.

June 12th:
No pictures for this day but I just wanted to share. This was our last session of Therapy. We GRADUATED. I seriously feel like a different person than I did 7 weeks ago. Were happy 95% of the time instead of 60% and we communicate so much better. Such a good feeling. Glad to be spending eternity with this man.

June 14th:

It looks like I do have breasts: SCORE!!

This was my real first day of swimming and sun. I didn't put on one ounce of sunscreen in hopes to get some color!! It was so nice, we went to my sister's condo pool and watched the kids splash around. It was heaven. I also got to whip out my new suit from target. Bonus!

June 15th:

I went to 7peaks with my Pass of all Passes. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. The food has tripled in price since I was here last. That meal ^^ cost me $9.60 and it wasn't all that great. But I did enjoy myself. Apparently they let anyone in the park. I saw booties all over the place. Than two kids had to be taken by ambulance that day cause of drowning. Definitely an adventure.

June 16th:

Today was my nephew Easton's 8th birthday. We went to Fat Cats/Costa Vida in Provo. I took a picture of my food cause that was the 2nd night in a row that I had the same meal. And I was still as excited to eat it as the night before! I LOVE COSTA VIDA! I have a feeling it will be involved in a lot of my summer! Anyways...we bowled (Jake and I did AWESOME!), ate some dinner, opened gifts, ate cake, opened Father's day gifts, and had a joyous time. We sure love Easter. He is such a sweet boy with so much energy.

Welp, now I am going to stick to my everyday rule and see how it goes! TTFN! PTFO!

Things {YOU} should know about me if were gonna be BFF

It's come to my attention over time that I have random readers, well I consider all my reader friends. And I was thinking maybe...you need to know some ish about me before we continue our relationship together. To be honest I'm kind of a crazy, so it's better to know now than later.

1. I never brush my teeth before I go to bed (eww I know)- I just don't. I can't explain why, I know I should I just don't!
Do my teeth look that bad??

2. I love to read books, but after a couple months I forgot a lot of the things I read in the book, it really depresses me. I wish I could retain all I read!

3. I want a baby. It's a true fact. Now when will I actually create one, is a great question!

4. When I cross my eyes only one goes crossed and the other stays straight.

5. I miss all my friends from high school (even the ones I am still friends with)

6. Now this may make or break some of our relationships but...I'm a Boston Red Sox fan!

7. (speaking of teeth) I have a fake tooth and when I'm near black lights it glows really bright.
this is when it fell off :(
8. Just so you all know, and so I can relive "my glory days" I was Fashion Team President and Ms. Timpanogos. SO I'm pretty much a big deal.

9.I can rap, like Lil Wayne. It's true just ask my Bunco girls

10.My cycle is every 28 days.

11. I'm secretly pulling for Britney Spears to get back in the fame and do something great

12. I was a cheerleader, and I actually did enjoy/miss it.

13. I'm kissed 32 boys until Jake, and I don't regret it. (But I am embarrassed)

14. I have been to the temple 3 times since I took my endowments out :(

15. I STILL sleep with a baby blanket that I've had since I was born. When my husband told me I had to get rid of it I started crying and than he decided I could keep it.

16. I LOVE to longboard

That's just a little somethin something about me. Enjoy! This message was approved by JENESSA
