Bubba Gump Frahm {2}

Our wee little child dog, Bubba's birthday was on the 23rd... I think. Yes this post is about my dog. Yes, its gay that I am writing a post about him. Yes I just don't care.

In May it will be a whole year that we got Bubba and it has been a little roller coaster. I had wanted a dog since I was a wee little girl and I finally got one! It was love at first sight. He was such a sweetie and loved cuddling me and definitely loved me more than Jake. We would take him wherever we went and would show him off. My mother in law hated dogs and couldn't believe we got one. We were excited to take on all the responsibilities and money that would go into raising him. He would hate driving in the car. He would sleep with us in our beds. We were in love with our brand new puppy.

Well my my my how the tables have turned since than! Ultimately we still LOVE our dog! He really is like a child to me. I now realize why my mother didn't let me get a dog, it is so hard. and it got very complicated there for awhile with Jake. He still is a sweetie and will come cuddle up to me which I love, but he is also very hyper at certain times of the night. He now DEFINITELY loves Jake way more than me. He loves me but Jake is a god to him, and everyone knows it. We no longer take him everywhere with us. Jake would still like to, I just think its a little overbearing and believe it or not not everyone loves dogs. My mother in law loves him like her own child or more than that. She begs to watch him and thinks every thing he does is adorable. Which feeds into my husbands crazy obsession with him :) We now both realize how hard a dog is and some days don't know why we did it. Some days we say we won't ever do a dog again. He now loves driving in the car and going just about anywhere. He now sleeps downstairs in our family room.

Honestly, I love Bubba, he has taught us a lot! I know he isn't a child but he gave us a little taste of what it will be like. Most days we actually are pretty grateful for him and most days we consider or talk about dog #2. But that may never happen or be long into our future. Even though sometimes Jake and I don't see eye to eye on him and some of our ridiculous fights are over him, we don't ultimately regret our decision to purchase him! He has been a great addition to Jake and mine's life.

How Pinterest rocks my world!

As I previously mentioned, I adore Pinterest. I'm obsessed. I seriously didn't believe the things I could do till Pinterest. I have made all the wreaths that go on my door. I cook this fantastic meals, and I have learned how to decorate much better. I seriously feel better about my skills since pinterest. Call it cheesy, but I am in love with pinterest!
These were my St. Patrick day items I created this month! Super fun! I love the little subway art, its so simple and easy to do!
With my craft group we did a balloon wreath. It was a lot of fun! I won't be using this balloon wreath a ton, considering it only goes up around Birthdays, so basically in April is the two times I will use it this year (Jake's birthday is on the 6th and mine is the 25th)

Then this month my friend Linsey and I went up to wood connection in Draper or somewhere up there and purchased cute block letters. Sidenote: Wood Connection just opened a store in American Fork, right down the street from me!! yah!!! I wanted something cute for my living room coffee table so I purchased letters to spell our last name. All you do is add paint, some scrapbook paper, maybe ribbon if it tickles your fancy! BAM! you have a cute/easy craft. Now this wasn't from Pinterest necessarily, but still awesome!

8. I feel most confident about myself when I have done a craft or cooked a meal,

with wet hands touching me, which would make my skin dry)
10. I have another blog, that is only for my eyes which is my journal
11. this may sound rude but I always judge weddings now and still think
mine is the best! (which is a good thing...kinda)

Questions for me to answer:

1. Happiest moment in my life? Obviously my wedding, but I feel that's so cliche, so another happy moment was when I met Jake. Every time i think about it or talk about it, I get those butterflies of excitement and love! (That was also pretty cliche. What do you do?)
2. Who is the most important person in your life, and tell me about them? Jacob Thomas Frahm, if you refer to the post before you will get an answer :)
3. What is your earliest memory? I feel like their were a ton! But one I can remember was we had this green leather couch that was a sectional. I would jump from one part to another cause their were crocodiles (or so I thought) in certain sections.
4.Dog or Cats? HANDS DOWN DOGS!!! Cats are nasty little devils. I hate them with a fiery passion. Now that I have a dog, my love for them grows deeper
5.What is your dream job? Labor and Delivery Nurse :)
6. If you could back and change anything in your past what would it be? Sure I made mistakes, big ones, but honestly I have learned things from every experience so I don't think I would take anything back! No regrets!
7.If I had a $10,000 shopping spree where would I spend it? and how long would it take me to spend it? Well, if it was for my home, Hobby Lobby, and I could spend that within a couple months. But if its clothes, probably Bohme and I think it would take me one day to a week. I really am fine with any store.
8.What are the most important traits in a man in your opinion? Honesty, humor, and forgiving
9. What's the worst advice you have ever taken? To take college classes while planning a wedding
10. First Kiss Story? I was in 6th grade and I had a boyfriend and we were at his friends house watching a movie when he asked if he could kiss me. I said sure! ahaha great right? I sure loved him!
11. What would you do if you found out the internet was being shut down? A little grateful and stressed  at the same time.

Why do I love you?

Sometimes, I am selfish. I realize this when I read my blog. I feel like I never talk about Jake or say enough about him, and mostly talk about ME! When in reality I did this blog for us.
So this post is all about the Mr. I am married to!
Yes, it may be mushy.
Yes, it may be cheesy.
Yes, it may be inappropriate...jk (hopefully)
But he sure deserves it.

Let me tell you why:
One day after a long day at work and it being a 12 hour shift, I was excited to come home and relax. But I was not excited to cook dinner. I was even more disappointed to find out that Jake wouldn't be home and I would be alone for the night till late. But much to my surprise I came home to this:
He bought me some delicious Bamboo Hut, put it on a placemat with fork, cup with ice, and my favorite Diet Cherry Pepsi. With a little love note to go with it! It made my night, and it was the simplest thing!

Reason #2:
My sister Kylie called me one night to tell me this amazing deal on the Amazon Kindle's. She said it was only  $99 for it and it came with keyboard, 3G, and wireless internet. Not to mention all these incredible things it does. Well I told Jake about it, and he said "Sure we can get it...for your birthday or something." Well unfortunately I had to get it before the deal was over. I could tell he really didn't want to budge and definitely did NOT want it. I was really bummed. Well as we were driving home he pulled off the freeway and into a Target parking lot, he told me he wanted me to go inside and get the Kindle cause he knew it would make me happy and that's all he wanted. He said he wanted to support me in my hobbies and passions and this was a pretty good way to show it!

Reason #3:
Any one that knows Jake knows that (most the time) he is such a sweet and giving guy. That was one of the things I loved about him the most. He always was willing to do whatever it takes to make people happy. Sometimes its not the best thing but most the time it's great. This leads me into kids. Jacob loves kids. (Not in a creepy pedophile way) He has been begging me for a kid since we got married. People always say "When does Jake want kids?" I tend to always reply "Yesterday" Since I have been nannying I have seen a side that I absolutely ADORE. He loves babies, and kids and loves holding them playing with them anything. I am excited for the day I tell him "I'm pregnant" It will be like Christmas on steroids!
Reason #4
See my groom does REALLY weird things. And at times they are annoying, and embarrasing, I can't help but always love him for it. For example when we go through a Drive-thru the person over the speaker says "What can I get you today?" Without fail every time Jake says something along the lines of "My wife, Jenessa would like..." or "She would like a diet pepsi but she doesn't want coke" As if the people on the speaker know who I am or care who is ordering it! I always laugh! Another funny thing I noticed is Jake when he walks does this thing with his arms where he like raises them and flaps them. It sounds retarted (kinda is) but I think its a cute little quirk. He always tends to analyze....EVERYTHING! Every time we fight he has to explain his point over and over, as if I didn't get it or hear it the first time! But with all these things he makes me laugh and feel super lucky to have him.
Reason #5
He has a bajillion random nicknames for me, that don't make sense to anyone except me and him.
Smackie
Honey Butt
Butter Dish
Money
Pussy Cat...
Onion
Bubba
Baby Bear
That's just to name a few.

Overall, I know I was supposed to marry this guy, cause he is perfect for me! I love him more and more everyday and I'm glad I get to call him mine. I hope he knows just how grateful I am for him!

Satan's Diet

Well, I gave in. In my battle to lose the bulge I decided along with my sister to do HCG aka Satan's diet. Yes yes I know what your thinking. 500 calories really? But I had tried this before hand and it worked fairly well and I was desperate. So I embarked on this journey with my sister on January 24 and ended on February 17. For me it wasn't hard there were some nights I would have to force myself to eat all the calories. There were only one or two days I was actually hungry. But I don't think that is normally the way with everyone. My sister was the opposite. It was hard to relate and be each other's support when that was the case.

Here are my stats and how it goes:

Week 1 Date: 01/24 Weight: 150 Waist: 32" Hips: 39" Thighs: 24 1/2" Arms: 11 3/4"

Week 2 Date: 01/31 Weight: 144 Waist: 30 1/2" Hips: 38" Thighs: 23 3/4" Arms: 11 1/2"

Week 3 Date: 02/07 Weight: 142 Waist: 30 1/4" Hips: 37 1/2" Thighs: 23 1/2" Arms: 11 1/2"

Week 4 Date: 02/14 Weight: 139 Waist: 30" Hips: 36 1/2" Thighs: 23 1/2" Arms: 11 1/2"

Final  Date: 01/24 Weight: 139 Waist: 29 3/4" Hips: 36" Thighs: 23 1/2" Arms: 11 1/4"

I lost a total of 13 1/2 lbs. I fluctuate now, depending on my exercise and eating between 137 and 139. I am super proud of myself and want to continue to lose a little bit more. (Doesn't every body say that?) But my oringinal goal is to be 130 which was me at my healthiest. Maybe someday? I took before and after pictures and they are interesting to see, fortunately I don't feel like expose you to that sight!

Girls just wanna have fun!

A couple weeks ago, I made plans to see my besties from high school, who I hadn't seen for a month. Which is WAY too long. We decided to do cheap, yet delicious mexican and went to Cafe Rio in Provo. It was delightful. :)

Don't mind the fact I look albino! I sure love all these girls, plus Kelly who had to leave early. But we sat there and talked for and hour and a half and it felt like it had only been days since I had seen them. As we were leaving I realized we forgot to take a picture at dinner, so we snapped this bad boy right outside.

Well, we obviously hadn't had enough of each other so we decided to go see This Means War. A fun little chick flick with Reese Witherspoon and two highly attractive, (make you want some) gentleman.
The one on the right, was delicious.
Basically this movie was great, a little racy but I was trying so hard not to pee my pants. I would recommend it! It was so delightful.

As we were leaving, my friend Lisa who is prego, I asked her if she had taken any belly shots? I just think they are so cute and adorable, I may not when it is actually me. But still! So I had her stand against the wall so I could be the one to show off her adorable baby bump!

I love all these girls and had a fantastic time with them. I always compare my other friendships to the ones I have with these four! I don't know where I would be without them! LOVE YOU GALS
